Nemo:
We were looking for a new friend for Hevi and Papu. We
had been following the career of Oochigea's Zampano and his offspring,
and that's why Homely Luck's Z-litter caught our eye. Expecting Nemo
was a great time; every week we got photos and news. And the kennel could
keep Nemo until he was four months. Then we could get him by a car. He
was the most peaceful puppy we had ever seen! Nemo has got his name "Nemo"
after ice hockey player Ville "Nemo" Nieminen. (Or character
of Captain Nemo, says Ilves-fan Maria...)
Nemo at the track:
- Very fast, when it's not much rush.
- Nemo doesn't like contact. When contacts occures, his rhythm goes sometimes
haywire. Sometimes there's not any influence.
- Good racing nerves; he can wait and be very calm near the track and
in the way to the starting boxes. But when he gets in the starting box...
- Usually runs near the rail
- Hard to train; it has taken a long time (many years) for owners to
learn to "read" Nemo
Nemo at home:
- Lazy. When other dogs run it the forests and fields free and wild, Nemo
is just looking at his owners like "there's no ball or toy or hare. Why
bother?"
- Loves eating, but doesn't steal.
- When Nemo has lots of energy or he is frustrated, he just bites his
soft toys. Sometimes even hour after hour...
- Very easy dog. Does what the owners want and let them do what they want.
- Doesn't like a play, where is too much contact. Doesn't have that kind
of sense of humor.
- Likes patting and scratching, but also being alone. (And just loves massage,
especially when "our masseuse" Katriina Falhi is massaging)
